About Debbi Booth – Musician & Educator
My name is Debbi Booth, and I am a former professional musician with a degree in Music Performance on the Clarinet, paired with a lifelong passion for jazz saxophone. Throughout my career, I have performed at an advanced level on a wide range of instruments including violin, harp, piano, voice, flute, oboe, and more, giving me a uniquely broad musical perspective.
With this multi-instrumental background, I offer lessons tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and musical interests. I love teaching adults and older teenagers, but I also have extensive experience working with young learners from age 5 onwards, helping them build strong foundations in technique, expression, and confidence.
Whether you are beginning your musical journey or expanding your skills, I provide patient, supportive, and professional guidance grounded in real performance experience and a deep love of music.
Let’s explore your musical potential together.

Why Study With Me for Graded Exams, Music Medals, GCSE & A Level Music?
Prepare for your exams with confidence under the guidance of a highly trained professional musician and educator. With extensive experience in jazz, classical, and contemporary music—and proficiency across woodwind instruments, piano, voice, harp, and violin—I offer a comprehensive, structured approach to performance and theory at every level.
Whether you’re working toward Music Medals, graded exams (ABRSM, Trinity, LCM), or school qualifications such as GCSE and A Level Music, I provide targeted support that helps students achieve their personal best. Lessons focus on developing strong technique, secure musicianship, refined performance skills, and a clear understanding of exam requirements.
As a professional performer, I bring real-world insight into interpretation, stylistic awareness, practice strategies, and overcoming performance anxiety. As a teacher, I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, ensuring steady progress, confidence building, and a deep understanding of both practical and theoretical concepts.
Structured guidance, expert feedback, and a supportive learning environment—everything you need to excel academically and musically.
I endeavor to get all students playing in recitals and in bands or groups at least once a year, whether this is local bands or being formed specifically for a recital. This is really important for growing musicianship.
I am also able to tutor music theory for exams, and exam prep for GCSE Music.
